The Braid Crown
Happy Father's day! We had a wonderful day celebrating my dad! We enjoyed steaks by the pool and then went swimming afterwards. The look above is one of my very favorites, and I am so excited to share it with you guys! First, this hair style was completed in 3 minutes, and is the perfect hair style for curly damp pool hair. I have natural wavy hair and it has been incredibly humid here in VA the last few days, and my hair is unstoppable. I can't do anything with my hair when it's humid, so I decided to throw it up into a braid crown. This is my very first time completing this look, and I honestly LOVE IT! I am wearing my barefoot blonde hair extensions to add length to complete this look. Second, these pants are to die for. I am currently OBSESSED with extra flare jeans. I think they are so classic. I always try and add a little pop of color when wearing flare jeans so I like adding scarfs to my pants. I like wearing colorful earrings to create a better look. Also, can we talk about this purse? I am a huge fan of anything rattan. This rattan purse was under $25 and it look identical to the J.Crew one that cost $80! I bought the above rattan purse at Tjmaxx. Let's be honest Tjmaxx is bae!
I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

The Elsa Braid
I call this the Elsa Braid, and that is because it reminds me of a Disney Princess. This hairstyle is so simple to complete. This took less than 4 minutes to complete!!!! I love learning how to do quick and easy hairstyles. This makes my mornings a lot easier. Here are 5 easy steps to complete this look:
1. I pull my hair back into a low ponytail but I leave a little piece out (So I can hide the hair tie)
2. Wrap the extra hair around the hair tie. I connect the hair into the hair tie I am all ready wearing.
3. Braid the ponytail a little over halfway down.
4. This is the most IMPORTANT step. If you want a thick looking braid it is so important to pull apart your braids.
5. I pull out extra pieces of hair to cover my ears (this is optional).

Barefoot Blonde Hair
I am so excited for today's blog post because it is the launch of a new category! I am adding Hair to the blog! I will be showing different ways to do braids, curls, and everything in between! I have the best hair stylist in the world (Amanda Taylor) and she always keeps me stylish! I wanted to try something different with my hair, so I stepped out of my comfort zone and bought Barefoot Blonde hair Extensions! Yes, I said it ....HAIR EXTENSIONS! The amazing Amber Fillerup is my all time favorite blogger, and she created her own extension line and I had to get them! I am in love! My hair is pretty long all ready but I needed to add some thickness to create the braids I wanted. I highly recommend these extensions and they are very easy to cover. Checkout her website at www.barefootblondehair.com
The style above is a simple french braid. Once the hair is braided pull it apart to make it look extra thick. I added two rubber bands to the bottom of the braid to add more detail.
I am excited to launch this new category on my blog! I hope you enjoy it as well.

Skyler
