Back to school
This back to school outfit is one of my favorites. I absolutely adore this mustard color H&M dress, which was also only $20. I am "that girl" who wears heels on a regular occasion, so when I shop for heels I try and find the most comfortable ones. These Lucky brand heels are perfect for school, work, and just a day out on the town. I can wear these all day and they don't hurt!!!!!!!!!! These heels aren't very high, but it still gives the outfit that classy look you strive for. Shop H&M for this exact look.

How to dry flowers 101
I have always struggled with drying flowers, until now! I
have finally figured out the trick. I have tried all of the old wise tales, and
none of them work. The best way to dry hydrangeas and to get the look you’re
hoping for is to hope for the best (seriously). Hydrangeas need to be cut at a
certain time. If you cut them to early they will be too moist to dry out. Once
the flowers start turning a little bit darker than their natural color, which is
when it is time for you to cut them. Step 1: Wait until the flower is darker than
its original color. Step 2: Cut 12-18 inches from the flower. Step 3: Put
flowers into a half watered container. (Once the water is evaporated within
10-30 days your flowers should be dried out).
Enjoy your garden as much as I do, xoxo

What will you grow this year?
What will you grow this year?
Gardening season is just around the
corner, and it’s time to start planning for that 2016 garden. For gardener’s there’s
at least one question that’s always fun to ponder: What crops should I plant
this year? If I only had one choice of what to plant I would pick lettuce
because it is easy to grow, takes up little space, and allows for long, continuous
harvests. If you’re not convinced with lettuce, it’s time to give this veggie
another look, considering they are one of the prettiest vegetables to grow.
Another thing I enjoy to grow are
homegrown strawberries. Homegrown strawberries truly are ripe, and tender. You’ll
never get true strawberry flavor unless you find local berries. This is one of
the easiest fruits to grow. As some of you might know, when you plant strawberries
they wont produce until a year after you plant them, but once they start
growing they never stop. These beautiful plants don’t require much attention. Why
not plant some in your own garden? I hope you’ll dig in this spring and plant
some favorite fruits and vegetables, and also try a few new ones. Whatever you
grow this year, I wish you a happy gardening season and a bountiful harvest.

Winter wonderland
Good morning guys!!!!! I am so excited that I can finally
get out of the house, but I was very blessed to stay in all weekend and just
relax before my school load got crazy. I hope all of you have stayed dry and
warm during this snowstorm. Today’s post
is about how to make a photograph look extra great. For the people who do not
know me, I am such a fan of art. Lots of people get gifts in life such as
singing, athletic, and book smart, I’d say my gift in life is being artistic. I
enjoy painting, designing, and I really really enjoy photography. Photography
is so easy, but yet so rewarding. I love taking pictures of people; I love
making people feel beautiful in every way. Every person has something unique
about them, and the goal with photographing people is to get that unique
quality about them in the photo. Some people have big smiles, others have
distinct eyes, and each person is different and its so important to find that
persons unique quality. To make a good photograph you need to find the right
coloring. Coloring plays the biggest part in how the photo is going to turn
out. With coloring you need to wear clothing that is opposite colors with the
background you are going to be using. For instance, in the snow you don’t want
to wear white because it blends together. It’s important to find the
complementary color of the background you are going to be using (that’s a
interior design definition). Complementary colors are the colors that when
combined cancel each other out. If you were taking pictures in front of a green
tree, red would be the color to wear. Coloring is everything when trying to
take a good picture. Here are a few of
my favorite shots from the snowstorm.

The perfect set up
Hey guys, I’m sure everyone is getting ready for this huge snow we are about to have. I was scrolling through my pictures and I noticed these awesome pictures I took of my parents dining room table over Christmas break! My mother is so talented at decorating, and people always wonder why I want to be a decorator (it’s because I want to be as good as my mother one day). I loved how she hung crystals from the chandelier to give the room a prettier feel. When my parents built this house, they wanted a dinning room to hold lots of people (they sure got it). Over Christmas break we had the entire family over and we all sat at this table. This beautiful room is one of a kind and it will never date. Décor is something everyone has to have within the home, but it’s so important to know how to set up and decorate the pieces you have purchased.
Keep your home beautiful and bright

Fashion Show April 2016
Hello guys, I hope everyone has had
a wonderful Christmas break and a happy New Year (I know I have). Today’s post
is very special to my heart, because I have worked very hard on this particular
thing I am going to be sharing with you all. As some of you may know I was
accepted into the 2016 Fashion Show at Liberty University. To give you some
more detail, I came up with a fashion sketch (shown in the picture) I turned in
my fashion sketch and it got approved. I couldn’t believe that my sketch got
approved, but I was so excited about this journey. After my sketch got approved
all of the fun things started to happen.
As a
designer it is important to find the right model to wear the attire you
created. Once I figured out what I was designing, I then was on the search for
a model. The fashion show program had model casting, which is when people come
try out for a position in the fashion show. As people strutted down the aisle,
this one particular girl caught my eye. This beautiful girl had dark hair, and
GREAT eyebrows (well I ended up getting her). Once my model was chosen I had to
get measurements and sizes to start the designing process. Well as of tonight I
started creating my 2 dresses I will be presenting in the Fashion Show in
April. I just want all of you to know that I have never sewn an outfit in my
entire life, but it is so fun to take chances and just DO IT (as Nike says). As
in the picture below that is just the outline to an amazing dress that should
be done in 2 weeks! Once I finish my dresses I will post them and show you the
final product!
Thanks for reading!
